Mini Makeover Monday

As the cold continues to creep in I am working on mastering the art of --hibernation. Seriously, it is TOO cold. After a really mild winter last year, I think we all just got a little too spoiled.

Along with a lot of good old hibernation, HGTV, and attempting to make Greek yogurt cupcakes (I should just never bake) I found a place to put our second wedding chalkboard. For my and the Husb's wedding last (almost) year we had a ton of chalkboards as part of the decor. I kept two of my favorites. One is up here in the dining area. The other was in limbo until I decided this old useless breaker box in the hallway was annoying me.

 After:

Maybe one day I'll figure out some kind of configuration to cover the current breaker box, while still keeping it accessible. In the mean time it doesn't bother me TOO much since it serves a purpose. Maybe just painting the gray portion of the box the same color as the wall would help mask its ugly face a bit? It's just so awkward to paint since it's a metal cover.

Anyone ever successfully semi-cover their breaker box?

  3. Thanks! It's so much nicer not seeing that random piece of metal every time I walk down the hall.
