Post- Holiday Season in NYC

Happy New Year! We kept it classy as hell, obviously - notice my upturned necklace and our awkward stiff pose as if we don't each other other - and had a great New Year's Eve. Now, however, the holiday season is over. This has to be one of the most dreadful times of the year in the city. That slow, cold stretch of time between January 2nd and mid-March of nothingness. NYC sets into the very festive season of "cold as the Arctic." It is frigid as frig out there and my hair is wet. Yes, I go out into the wilds of New York with wet hair more times than not because curly hair + a blow-dryer= hot mess. You know things are messed up when the weathermen call next week's 40ish temperatures mild.

There's nothing more painful than post New Year's week. I am crawling on through it. Just two more days! I think I can, I think I can....

How was your holiday season?

  1. I actually kind of love this time of year because I don't have something on the calendar every single weekend. It's so nice to not have any plans for a while. I'm looking forward to lazy weekends curled up on the couch with Netflix.

  2. My holiday season was excellent! I don't know how you manage the cold! I guess you get used to it; sort of? Back to work is no fun but that's life. At least it was short week.
