Nutella cookie cups [Cookie dough in a mini muffin tin + Nutella= Love]
Yesterday was that grand ol' pink and red holiday filled with hearts and teddy bears. Long ago my husband and I realized we are not normal Valentine's Day people. We spent out first Valentine's Day at husb's (than-boyfriend's) college (which was also my college, but I had graduated the year before). He took me to a cute little Italian place. Unfortunately it was PACKED to the brim with couples uncomfortably reading over the Valentine's Day special menu, trying to talk over the hum of far too many conversations. I vowed that he should never again take me to a place that put together a menu specifically for Valentine's Day with hearts and swirls around the freshly printed menu's border. Just not us.
Dark chocolates from around the world from Eataly from the Husb
Since that day Husb has tried his hand at cooking me dinner at home, or ordering take-out. He usually gets me some fun dark chocolates (my favorite kind, the bitter the better) from a chocolate place in the city, since I waste half the standard heart box by skipping all the fillings I hate. But, we made a new little tradition last year that we think will stick.
There's nothing like divey Mexican food in our favorite hole-in-the-wall that keeps the Valentine's Day hoards away.
How did you spend your Valentine's Day?
Those Nutella cookie cups look AMAZING. I spent my Valentine's evening with kids at a party, but when I came home my husband and I drank a bottle of wine. Good enough for me!

We went to Chipotle. I loved it! We're not big Valentine's people either or fancy restaurant people, so forget it.
